Mrs. Evans presents to your office with the chief complaint of pain and swelling in her upper left jaw. She first noticed this pain and swelling 2 days ago. She says that she thinks it’s in the area of the bridge she had placed about 5 years ago by another dentist. She has noticed no foul odor, foul taste, or drainage.
